Editorial redesign and rebuild of rem.am, the personal site of AI advisor Rem Darbinyan, with interactive service pages, a press kit and an accessible, agent-ready build.
The Challenge
Rem Darbinyan is an AI advisor and the Founder and CEO of SmartClick AI. His personal site needed a rebuild that explains in plain language what he does for a company and how an engagement runs from the first conversation to delivery. It also had to present a long record of evaluator, mentor, speaker and Forbes roles without reading like a CV, and it had to respect a set of decisions Rem made about what stays private.
Our Approach
We went through several visual directions. Rem turned down a dark “industrial” version as too aggressive and an all-Bodoni version as too soft. The direction he chose is editorial menswear: warm paper backgrounds, wide-tracked Jost capitals, Inter for reading, black-and-white photography and a single orange accent. The homepage opens with a split hero: his portrait fills one half, and the promise “I find the problems worth solving” fills the other.
The content is all drawn from his CV and a sourced profile, and the proof links were checked one by one. The Forbes articles are laid out like a table of contents. The organizations he has worked with are shown as a logo grid with his role under each name. Work With Me is the most interactive page. It has a self-check of the situations that call for an advisor, assessment columns that invert when you hover over them or arrive from a link, scroll-linked steps with a filling rail and a pipeline that draws itself. All of it turns off under reduced motion or the site’s own pause setting.
We rebuilt the site in Astro on Cloudflare Pages. The contact form uses bot protection and delivers enquiries to Rem’s inbox with no address published anywhere on the site, and a build check enforces that. Every page has a markdown version for AI agents. An accessibility statement and a reader-preferences panel cover text size, contrast, font, spacing and motion. Analytics records visits that come from AI assistants and fetches by AI crawlers.
The Result
The site is live at rem.am. The build runs privacy, style, title, link and accessibility checks and fails if any of them break. The most recent browser accessibility run found no issues on any of the 11 pages at either desktop or mobile width.
